Kick-start 2025 in Key Areas

As a wrap up 2024, we want you to take a moment to reflect on the year’s achievements and challenges. Review this period of growth for your nonprofit, as well as milestones reached and valuable lessons learned. We at The Nonprofit People have been fortunate to guide and partner with many wonderful nonprofit organizations that impact their community, our country, and the world.

Starting a new year can be a pivotal moment for nonprofits. Let’s kickstart 2025 by refreshing strategies, setting new aspirations, and celebrating your successes! I have written about a couple of these topics previously but consider focusing on a few of these key areas:

1. Goal Setting: Define clear, achievable goals that align with your mission. This could be anything from expanding your reach, increasing donor engagement, or launching new programs. Make sure everyone on the team understands the goals, and their role in achieving it, and measure progress along the way.

2. Team Engagement and Well-Being: Your team is essential to your success. Encourage open communication and collaboration to ensure everyone is aligned and motivated. Make them part of the process and recognize someone who goes above and beyond. Giving a team member the special role of introducing you at an event or on a conference call can make all the difference. Plus, a healthy, balanced team is more productive and effective.

3. Community Connection: Reconnect with your supporters. This could include sending a new year update, expressing gratitude, and outlining your plans for the year. If you aren’t engaging donors with a “Sip Sip Hooray”, you don’t understand the impact of a simple occasion of appreciation.

4. Operational Review: Look at your processes and see where you can improve efficiency. This might involve adopting new technologies, refining existing workflows, or providing additional training for your team. The typical…”this is the way we have always done it”, doesn’t mean it should be the way you should do it now.

5. Innovation: Be open to new ideas and approaches. Experiment with different ways to engage your audience or enhance your programs. You can keep sending emails, but donor engagement is the best way to attract and keep your donor base.

As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to building on our customers’ experiences to further their cause and continue making a positive difference. Our team will work diligently to support you in adapting to changing circumstances and delivering on the needs of your mission with energy and dedication.

Thank you, we are always excited and grateful to be part of your journey. Many of the kickstart ideas have available resources for your use.
